Jewelry has always been a way of connecting for me. On one of my first design trips, I got my mom a necklace that she wore daily. Not that she's a jewelry person - she definitely is not - but with every compliment she proudly tells people that it was a gift from her daughter. When I added the classic diamond by yard to our collection, I gifted my sister the same one I personally wear daily. I guess it’s our version of a friendship bracelet. To my baby sister, I gifted her a little love. She wears her diamond signet heart ring for all her special occasions. And looking to my future, I’ve set aside the pieces that I was gifted from childhood to one day pass on to my children. Gift giving is indeed an act of giving a piece of ourselves.
